Stupid Ditches

Events over the weeeknd have opened my eyes to the fact that I may (3 years after I convinced myself I was through with him) still be a little in love with Jeremy. I'm gnashing my teeth over this because it's frustrating. It's JEREMY! HE'S frustrating.

I know that he doesn't see me as anything other than a sister in Christ-which is fine. It's fine because I know that in the long run neither of us would make the other happy.

He's outdoorsy and likes hiking and camping and really roughing it.
I like being inside. I prefer traipsing in the woods to hiking. Camping is okay, but there must be real toilet and shower facilities. I'm not a roughing it sort of girl. I am a city girl-the city would smother Jeremy.
He wants to go to Colorado-I have no desire to be in Colorado.
He pushes my buttons.
He likes motorcycles, I like motorcycles. He has a motorcycle, and we both like to go fast.
We raced down the highway not too long ago. We were going between 97 and 105 mph. It was his fault. He provoked. I was perfectly willing to go the posted 55.

He is perpetually late. He's VERY laid back. He does crazy stunts and gets himself hurt. He does things that a normal man wouldn't do for women, but then he turns right around and forgets about them.
He gets to go see Phantom of the Opera in Columbus and he keeps rubbing it in my face. He doesn't care about Phantom... I WANT to see Phantom.

His heart is so big and generous. He wants to be used to share God's love in any way he can.
Ty Pennington on Extreme Makeover:Home Edition reminds of Jeremy. He's crazy like that.
He has so many gifts and talents and he's just now beginning to tap into some of that potential.

His views on dating are slanted. He doesn't date. If he finds a girl he might be interested in, they will remain friends and begin to "share time" together. If they feel the Lord leading to marriage or something, he will begin to court her. I have to tell you, I think Jeremy's system is horsesh--!

I still compare every man I meet with him-And there's usually something lacking.

Jeremy is not perfect. He's annoying and sometimes arrogant.
But if I have to be stuck in a ditch, I would rather be stuck with Jeremy than with any other man.

sometimes the ones that drive us crazy are the ones meant for us, as in we can grow and be pulled out of our comfort zone (or pull our hair out!) and yeah not that it will work out in the end, but its worth considering. and yes, he sounds absolutely crazy to even be your FRIEND :) i love you!

If God hasn't led him towards marriage, maybe that's what's meant to be?

Or you could be persistant and try convincing him.
